Westley A. Aldis
4/6/1948-4/15/22
Westley passed away surrounded by his children. He was a warrior, battling and defying health conditions for 34 years and even baffling his physicians. Westley was a fighter until his last breath. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Westley is survived by his children, Kelly Marie (Aldis) Friedberg (Jason) and Guy Aldis.
Granddaughter Carson Christine Sztajer. Step-granddaughter, Alexis Miranda Friedberg. Sisters, Sandie Aldis, Linda (Aldis)Pode, and Sister-in-law Debbie Aldis. Westley preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Alfred Aldis, brother James Aldis and sister Denise (Aldis) Vezina.
Uncle of eight: Deanna , Dawn, Shane, Diane, Jason, Donna, Lindsay and David.
Great Uncle of 18.
He was the ultimate people person – He was a character – a true one of a kind. He loved everyone he met, and they him. He had a magnetic personality. He was a legend and will be greatly missed.
He served as a Marine in Vietnam 1967-1969 a true HERO.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Avenue ( 3 blocks North of 10 Mile) St. Clair Shores, MI from 2 pm to 9pm. Instate Friday 10am, St. Isaac Joques Catholic Church, 21100 Madison Street, St. Clair Shores, MI until time of mass at 10:30 am with Military Services immediately following mass at church. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery Troy, MI.
