Theodoros "Ted" Vergos

Theodoros “Ted” Vergos, passed away April 6, 2022, age 60. Beloved husband of Lisa. Loving step-father of Jason Dahl and Amanda Dahl. Devoted Papou of Anthony and Austin. Dear brother of Katherine Vergos. Predeceased by his parents Antonios and Vasiliki (Koula) Vergos. Also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law including his best friend, Peggy Dahl, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ted was born and raised in Nafpaktos, Greece. His family moved to Sterling Heights and he became a US citizen in 1974.

After graduating he worked as a chef in many of his family’s restaurants in Macomb County.

He was a die-hard Detroit Red Wings fan and also enjoyed watching wrestling. Another passion was cooking. Ted spent much of his free time watching cooking shows and he was known for hosting his family for a Greek Easter Dinner at his home. Most of all, he was devoted to his grandchildren.
Family wishes to extend eternal gratitude to the staff at Beaumont hospital at Royal Oak and the staff at St. Anthony Health Care in Warren for years of dedication, excellent care, and love.

Visitation at the Sterling Heights Chapel of the Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 East 15 Mile Road, Sunday, April 10, 2022 from 2 - 9pm.

Funeral Monday, April 11, at St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 11455 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights at 10am with visitation beginning at 9am.

Burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery.

Donations made to St. John Greek Orthodox Church, National Kidney Foundation, and Solanus Casey Center would be appreciated by the family.
