Ronald A. Harbert, resident of Clinton Twp, Michigan, passed away at the age of 72. Dear son of the late Albert and Monette (nee Counts) Harbert. Beloved husband of Sandra (nee Pirrami) Harbert. Loving father of Stacy (John) Jones, Matthew (Jessica) Harbert, and Laura (Ryan) Cooper. Cherished grandfather of Jack, Brady, Carter, Joseph, Geno, Eva, Landon, Weston, Stella, Isla, and Hudson. Ronald was born on Veteran’s Day in 1949. He had family members in the Paducah, Kentucky area and spent a lot of time there as a youngster. Shortly after high school Ron served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was assigned to the USS Intrepid CV-11 off the coast of Vietnam. He also never missed the opportunity to go hunting or fishing, as he spent countless hours on Harsens Island where his family had a place. He became a master locksmith and had his own business. Ron and Sandy were married and they became a family of five. Later in life, Ron became a stay at home dad. During his later years Ron endured many surgeries including his leg amputation. He was happiest spending time with his kids and grandkids. Above all else, Ron was devoted to his family. He was a true gentleman, kind, and had a good heart. Many cherished memories with the family will live on well beyond this sad moment. Ron will be greatly missed by many.
