Mary C. Palazzolo

Mary (Domenica) C. Palazzolo (nee Cipriano) –

Born April 29, 1930 and returned to God care on March 13, 2023. She was the dear wife of the late Paul H. Palazzolo, adored mother of Joseph, Paul (Anna), Christopher, and Mark Palazzolo, and the treasured Nonna of Anne Marie Palazzolo, Gina New (Mat), Amber Lacey, Paul H. Palazzolo, Erin Lacey, Jennifer Palazzolo, Mathew Palazzolo, and Brian Palazzolo, and great grandchildren Anthony Lengel, Juniper, Noble and Lavender Roy. She was also the beloved sister of the late Peter, John, and Joseph Cipriano and Vita Badamo (nee Cipriano), and many nieces and nephews.

She was a card-carrying member of the Red Hat Society and an active member in the Humanities Group, a proud Eucharistic minister of her beloved parish of St. Peter in Mt. Clemens, a great Sicilian cook and baker who made the best cuccidati and cannoli in SE Michigan and was the Queen of the Apple Pie. As the Kickass Captain Mary of Vacation Trailer Days she was a master wooden-spoon wielder, ready to crack it on your behind if got out-of-hand. She will be remembered as a fabulous party thrower and game inventor as well as a wonderful teacher and tutor of English as a Second Language to immigrant children in the Chippewa Valley school district.

Visitation Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 2-8pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. Fifteen Mile, Sterling Heights, Michigan.

Funeral Mass Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11:30am with Instate at 11am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 95 Market Street, Mt. Clemens, Michigan.

Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
