Mary Nicosia

Maria “Mary” Nicosia, passed away May 13, 2022, age 95. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Loving mother of Roseann and Robert (Terri). Proud grandma of Shannon (fiancé Kevin Madden), Jessica, and the late Jacob. Dear sister of the late Albert Ancona, Stella Nicosia, and Biaggio Ancona. Sister-in-law of Phyllis Ancona.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary loved cooking and was known for her wonderful Italian food. Her family remembers her spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, and cookies. Mary never cooked small meals. She made enough food to feed an army and would send leftovers home for her family.

Visitation Monday, May 16 from 3-9pm and Tuesday, May 17 from 3-9pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 E. 15 Mile. Funeral Mass Wednesday, May 18 at 11am with instate at 10:15am at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 14 Mile, Sterling Heights.
