Mary M. Henderson peacefully left this world on November 15, 2023, at the age of 90. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by her children Bob (Debbie) Grabowski, Liz Miller, Steven Grabowski and the late Michael Grabowski, as well as her grandchildren Dana, Lindsay, Jason, and Bryan. She was a proud great grandmother to 12 cherished great-grandchildren. Mary's memory will also be cherished by her dear brother Frank (Cindy) Jezewski.
Mary was preceded in death by her husbands Gerald Grabowski, Harry Henderson, and her brother Jerome Jeske. Despite the sorrow of losing loved ones, Mary found solace and strength in the bonds of family.
A woman of many passions, Mary enjoyed the great outdoors, with a particular fondness for golfing. Her adventurous spirit also led her to try her luck at the casino, where she found joy in the thrill of the games. Mary's commitment to her community was evident through her membership and volunteer work at the Amvets Post 57 in Harper Woods.
Above all, Mary's greatest joy in life was being a grandmother and great grandmother. Her love and warmth extended to each generation of her family, creating lasting memories and connections that will endure through time.
A Chapel Committal Service to honor Mary's life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 12 Noon at Christian Memorial Gardens West, 521 E. Hamlin Rd., Rochester Hills.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Fr. Solanus Casey Center, 1780 Mt. Elliot St., Detroit, 48207, a cause close to Mary's heart.
As we mourn the loss of Mary, let us also celebrate the vibrant and meaningful life she lived, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished moments. May she rest in eternal peace.
