Mark Robert Caron, age 56, passed away on September 07,2022 He is survived by his wife of 28 years ,Lori Caron; children Rachel Caron and Joe Caron; siblings, Paul (Colleen) Caron, Jim (Liz) Caron, John Caron; sister-in-laws, Cindy (Jim) Wilson, Kristen (Steven) Isaacs and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Norbert and Carol Caron and in-laws, Edwin “Lou” and Marge Borucki.
Mark grew up in St. Clair Shores in a family of four boys. He and his brothers were competitive and joked around with each other often, but they always had each others’ backs. Mark attended Lakeview High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. He continued his education at Michigan Tech University where he completed his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering and then went on to receive his Masters of Business Administration from Oakland University. He was a driven and hardworking engineer for 30 years, specializing in the automotive industry. Mark worked for Ford, Visteon, Autoliv, Veoneer, and ZF. He mentored many people over the years at the various companies and created two U.S patents for crash detection sensors and components.
Mark was most well known for his smile and sense of humor. He loved to make people laugh with jokes or pranks. He enjoyed playing ice hockey, golfing with his friends, skiing, and swimming in his pool. He was a former coach for his children as well as a lot of others in ice hockey, baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball for St. Clair Shores Hockey Association, AYSO Warren, and WVAC baseball. He made sure he attended all of his children’s events and major life milestones.
Later in life, he prioritized caring for his parents and in-laws when they were in need of his help. Mark was a devout Catholic and attended mass regularly. He was generous and known to be “an all-around good guy” by everyone that knew him. Mark was charitable and always put others before himself. He donated blood regularly to the American Red Cross and supported other charities as often as he could.
Mark was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, friend, neighbor, and coworker. Mark also leaves behind his dog Maggie, his four-legged companion that he cared for deeply.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15,2022 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 25800 Harper Ave., St. Clair Shores, MI 48081. Funeral services will held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48088. An Instate will be at 11:30 am with a funeral mass immediately following at 12:00 pm
