Jesse Brown Hernandez, a devoted son, brother, fiance, uncle, and friend, passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 22. Born on July 26, 2001, Jesse left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jesse is survived by his fiance, Jessica, who stood by his side and his big brother Jeremiah (Jessica), a man he loved very much. He was a loving uncle to Jada and Jaxon, and his soon-to-be niece or nephew, who he could not wait to meet. The warmth and love he shared with his family will be remembered and cherished forever.
The proud son of Janice and Larry, Jesse's passing is mourned by his grandparents and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
Jesse dedicated his life to serving and protecting others as a Federal Police Officer. His commitment to justice and his sense of duty were evident throughout his career. He attended St. Germaine and Bishop Foley High School before pursuing his passion for criminal justice at Ferris State University. He not only earned his Bachelor's degree but also continued his academic journey, obtaining a Masters in Criminal Justice.
A distinguished member of the community, Jesse served as the Vice President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity during his time at Ferris State University. His leadership and camaraderie within the fraternity reflected his ability to connect with people and build lasting friendships.
Outside of his professional and academic pursuits, Jesse enjoyed an active and adventurous lifestyle. A fitness enthusiast, he frequented the gym and embraced the challenges of CrossFit. He could often be found playing baseball and golf, both sports that he loved to do with friends. Jesse also found solace in the great outdoors, particularly through his love for fishing. Whether casting a line or enjoying nature, he found peace and fulfillment in the beauty of the world around him.
A man of simple pleasures, Jesse had a sweet tooth for cookies, his favorite snack that never failed to bring a smile to his face.
Jesse Brown Hernandez will be remembered not only for his professional achievements but also for the love and kindness he shared with those fortunate enough to know him. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but the memories of his warmth, laughter, and dedication will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
