Jerry C. Schoof

Schoof, Jerry C., age 78, passed on August 20, 2021. He is preceded by his parents Clare and Virginia Schoof and his sister, Sharon Ryan. Jerry was a loving father to his daughters Dianné (Gary) Belarski and Karyn (John) Cain and a proud Grandpa to his 5 grandchildren – Emily, Mark, Ariana, Evan and Lucas. Jerry was also a loving brother to Don (Gail) Schoof and uncle to nephews Don Jr. (Hope) and Brian Schoof, along with his great-niece Elizabeth and great-nephew Nathan.

Jerry’s faith was very important to him, being involved with the church throughout his life - starting with being an altar boy at St Gertrude’s in St. Clair Shores, being a catechism teacher and Eucharistic minister at St. Dennis, in Royal Oak and being an usher and part of the men’s club at Christ Our Light. Jerry was also an active member in the group Call to Action.

Visitation will be at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home, 13650 East 15 Mile Rd. Sterling Heights MI 48312 on Wednesday, August 25 from 4:00 to 8:00pm and Thursday, August 26 from 2:00 to 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Christ Our Light, 3077 Glouchester Dr. Troy, MI 48084 on August 27 at 10:00am, with visitation at the church at 9:30am. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
