Donald Omer Hill

Donald Hill, 56, of Roseville, Michigan, passed away April 12, 2024.

Donald was a skilled carpenter whose hands brought craftsmanship and beauty into the world. He found joy in fixing things and took pride in his work, leaving behind a legacy of skill and dedication in his craft.

Outside of work, Donald had a passion for the holidays, especially Halloween, where he delighted in creating spooky decorations and sharing the festive spirit with loved ones. His caring nature and soft heart endeared him to all who knew him, and his infectious laughter and love of jokes brought light to any gathering.

Above all, Donald cherished his role as a protector of his family and friends. Donald is preceded in death by his father Rufus Hill, sister Cindy Hill, and his brother Danny DeMetsenare. He is survived by his loving mother Rita Hill, along with a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly. Siblings include Ron DeMetsenare, Terry DeMetsenare, Debbie DeMetsenare, Christina Barakat, Jimmy Hill, and his wife Sara. They will always remember him as a beloved brother. His nieces and nephews include Sheila DeMetsenare, Caitlin Atwood, Anthony & Ali Barakat, and Nathan & Seth Hill. They will forever hold him dear in their hearts. He was a loving father to Anita Hill, and grandfather to Rosaleigh Hill, Austin Gillis, and Blake Gillis.
