David G. Piper

David G. Piper, age 60, passed away June 28, 2022. Son of the late Philip and Helen (nee Martin) Piper. David married the love of his life, Laurie, on September 25th, 1992. He is the beloved father of Neil Piper and Kelly (Trent Mohan) Piper, as well as his dog Nelly. Treasured brother to Christopher (the late Karen) Piper, Alex (Nancy) Piper, and many wonderful brothers and sister in laws. David had a very special bond with his many nieces and nephews as well. Adored son-in-law of Francis Kelly.

David was known for a very specific saying, known by all of his family and friends: "there's a right way, a wrong way, and David's way." As a diesel mechanic, for over thirty years, and overall handyman of the family, David prided himself in his abilities to make and fix just about anything, from bar carts to boats. Many fond memories with his children and friends revolve around David's ability to fabricate anything you could imagine.

David will be greatly missed by all of his family members and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held at Bagnasco and Calcaterra Funeral Home at 25800 Harper Ave. St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081, Tuesday, July 5, 2022 from 2:00PM until 9:00PM. A service will be held at 7:00PM with a sharing of memories to follow.
