Christina Santini

Christina was born to Nicholas Santini and Olga Colangelo in Miami Beach, Florida on December 29th, 1960.

Chris, Chrissy, Christina or Santini was how you may remember her. Family, friends and co-workers could all agree that she was on of a kind. Chris was true to her feelings, she stood strong for what she believed in, and she had a great sense of humor. A beautiful person through and through.

Nick and Olga preceded her in death, they exposed Christina early in life to the hospitality industry. She started her illustrious 35-year career in hospitality in the Metropolitan Detroit Area and Washington DC. Most notable as part of Jimmy Schmidt’s Management Team for the Rattlesnake Club, The Detroit Athletic Club and Aramark Services for DTE Energy Headquarters. Chris spent most of her waking hors dedicated to her career where she always made an impactful difference.

In 2009, Chris adopted her first dog, Jewel. Jewel was a Shiba Inu Rescue. This addition to her life changed her forever. Jewel trained Chris to take a bit more time for what mattered. Chris opened her door to another Shiba Inu Rescue, named Thor in April 2018. Thor brought just the right amount of spice for the two girls. The trio was inseparable.

When April 2021 arrived, Chris decided to take the plunge into retirement. She uncovered many new interests.

It was in early 2022 that Chris was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She took the beast on like a soldier. She continued to stay active and positive through it all.

Chris, we know you went home to be with your mom and dad. We will miss you!

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236, Instate at 9:30 am until time of Mass at 10:00 am.
