Anna Marie Hughes

Anna Marie Hughes, age 68. November 9, 1954 to September 13,2023. Beloved wife of 46 years to James L. Hughes. Loving mother of Jimmy (Katie) Hughes. Cherished grandmother of Jordan and Abigail. Survived by her siblings Geraldine (Ken) Foerster and Paul Krok.

Anna was a lifelong artist of many media’s. She loved creating art and sharing that passion with others. Anna also loved to go camping with her family along the beautiful coasts of Michigan. She cherished a water front view to relax by. Anna was known for her fantastic cooking and the bellies that she kept full. She made sure no one left her house hungry. Anna was a strong advocate for the care of animals and even dedicated time to helping police and hospital service dogs. Her joy and creativity will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she has touched.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home in St. Clair Shores from 2:00pm until 8:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary service. A funeral service will take place the following day Wednesday, September 20, 2023. Instate at 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are appreciated by the family to Eastpointe Police Animal Control Division, Ascension Providence Hospital Pet Therapy Program and Paint Creek Center of the Arts. Please see information below.
