W. Daniel Carr

W. Daniel Carr, aged 85, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2024. Born on June 19, 1938, Dan was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen M. Duggan Carr, and a devoted father to W. Daniel Carr Jr. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

In addition to his son, Dan is survived by his siblings Alice B. Carr, C. Thomas Carr, and Vincent P. Carr. He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by his siblings Robert J. Carr Jr, James E. Carr, John F. Carr, and Francis J. Carr.

Throughout his life, Dan found joy in the simple pleasures. He had a passion for watching old movies and was an avid fan of true crime stories. In his younger years, Dan was known for his skill on the tennis court, a sport he enjoyed immensely. He also found great pleasure in cheering on Notre Dame Football.

Above all, Dan's greatest love was reserved for his family and his beloved dogs. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a cherished brother. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

As we mourn the loss of W. Daniel Carr, let us also celebrate the life of a man who touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before him.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home in St. Clair Shores, MI from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day, Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church 28301 Little Mack Avenue St. Clair Shores, MI. Instate 9:30am until the time of Mass at 10:00am.
