Angeline M. Tringali

July 17, 1935 ~ September 2, 2017 (age 82) 82 Years Old
Angeline M. Tringali (nee Ortisi) of St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away
on September 2, 2017 at the age of 82. She was the one and only true love
of her husband Charles J. Tringali. They just celebrated their sixtieth wedding
anniversary in June. Ange is the cherished mom of her four devoted children:
Carmie (Gary) Cerrone, Jo Marie (Joseph) D'Angelo, Mary Sue, and the
late Carl (1975). Her five grandchildren: Tommy, Alyssa, Natalie, Cristina,
and Robert, were her pride and joy and the light of her life. They adored her
in return. Her loving and loyal granddogs made her smile with their kisses and
were a great source of comfort. Ange considered family her greatest blessing.
She is one of six children of the late Rosario and Josephine Ortisi, the
stepdaughter of the late Carmelina Ortisi, and the daughter-in-law of the late
Carlo and Carmela Tringali. She is survived by her sister Marie (Michael)
Maloney, her brother Frank (Pauline) Ortisi, her brother Dominic (Mary) Ortisi,
her sister-in-law Josephine (late Joseph) Ortisi, her sister-in-law Josephine
(late Nunzio) Ortisi, and her sister-in-law Mary Ann (late Allen) Vermeulen, as
well as fourteen loving nieces and nephews and many wonderful neighbors
and friends.
Ange was born July 17, 1935 and raised on the east side of Detroit. She
graduated from East Commerce High School and, while growing up, was a
member of St. John Berchman Parish. At the beginning of their marriage,
she and Charlie belonged to St. Margaret Parish in St. Clair Shores and for
the last forty-nine years they have been parishioners of Our Lady of Hope
Parish (formerly St. Germaine Parish) in St. Clair Shores. Ange and Charlie
were avid bocce players through the St. Clair Shores Senior Center and the
#1 fans of their grandchildren's sporting events, dance recitals, and choir
concerts. She was the heart of her family and loved to pass down the recipes,
stories and traditions of her Italian heritage. She was a superb cook and
baker, and her homemade pizza was a family favorite. Ange was an excellent
seamstress. Through the years, she created many beautiful outfits and
costumes for her children and grandchildren. Not only was she good with a
needle and thread, but she also wove a thread of love, loyalty and respect
through her family that will remain strong and be passed down through her
descendants. She will forever be loved, remembered and missed.
