Alberto J. Ramos

RAMOS, ALBERTO JAVIER “BERT” 84, of Sterling Heights passed away peacefully on 05 April 2024 in his home, with family members by his side. Devoted husband to Glenda for 53 memorable years; loving father of Amy (Steve) Anderson of Sterling Heights, Alex Morales of St. Clair Shores, Michael (Christine) Morales of North Carolina, Mylene (Gene) Neal of Clarkston, and proud grandfather “Lolo” to eight grandchildren.

Bert was born on 24 July 1939, in Manila, Philippines ; he was predeceased by his beloved parents Agaton, Sr. and Pilar Javier Ramos,his sister Corazon R. Balitao, and is survived by his brothers Agaton, Jr., Armando and extended family in the Philippines. Bert attended Far Eastern University in Manila where he also worked as an orderly at the FEU Hospital——there he met his future wife, Glenda, a nurse. He emigrated to the United States in August 1972 and worked at the Warren Stamping Plant until his retirement from Chrysler after 27 years. Bert served the Lord as an usher at St. Blase Catholic Church until early 2020, fostering countless friendships along the way with his generosity and dedication.

Bert enjoyed Elvis Presley’s music, classic movies, traveling, and sharing in laughter, making his easy-going affability deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Bagnasco & Calcaterra Funeral Home in Sterling Heights, MI from 2:00pm until 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will take place the following day, Friday, April 12, 2024 at St. Blase Catholic Church 12151 15 Mile Road Sterling Heights, MI. Instate 9:00am until the time of Mass at 9:30am.
